What does it mean to be a polyamorous man? How might traditional masculine ideals and expectations impact men when practicing polyamory? What strategies can you use to overcome internalized beliefs around possession and competition? How can you redefine masculinity into something healthy and sustainable, in order to create collaborative relationships with your partners and their connections?

Leanne @polyphiliablog and Chad @polyamfam answer these questions and more in this 2-hour workshop. We will walk through the unique challenges that men face within the polyamorous community, share our own experiences being or relating to polyamorous men, and cover a wide range of topics from the ethics of the One Penis Policy to the problematic teachings of alpha male and incel culture.

Note: this workshop is mostly aimed at cisgender men who date women and the issues they face in the polyamorous community. However, many of the topics discussed (e.g. toxic masculinity, misogyny, transphobia, etc.) may also be useful to those who identify as masculine or male-aligned. Additionally, non-men who attend the workshop may also benefit from learning about common issues and pitfalls that polyamorous men face to better support their male partners.
